had 16" installed on mine. I went with paying the HD dealer to due it due to the internal wiring. Yea, I'm lazy but they install bars all the time on bikes so I knew they were way more qualified than I was. Didn't want my "baby" to be a test dummy with me doing the procedure.

Another thing...switch to poly bushings. You will be glad you did. I didn't and now will have to when I swap from front end out

Just use a piece of string or fishing line with a nut tied to the end. that is the easy part. The hard part is getting everything through the angle in the bars.

I have mine already tucked away for the winter with my 16 on her but here is a stock HD photo with the 16" Apes. I gotta say, I LOVE my 16" apes. I was a little nervous going with 16" but man, they are perfect for me.

Mind if I ask what the labor charge ended up being on this?

Just pulled my invoice. Labor for for 6 hours equaling $450. To me it was worth every penny as I know they did it right and I was able to have my bike up and running with no question unlike if I would have done it. :-)
