For more specific info on the PV, please check out the sticky thread on the ECU/Tuner forum.
As SSmith said, tuning is not a requirement since a good tune for your configuration will be installed in the PV when shipped--that is if you buy from Fuel Moto. If you should decide to do some self-tuning it isn't difficult if you follow the procedures in the latter part of the PV thread, which is also delineated in a PDF file that can be downloaded from the DJ site. In a month or two a new procedure will be in effect that will allow tuning from within the PV itself without involving a computer. This will simplify tuning once it is implemented.

Dynojet Power Vision now gives you the option of tuning multiple bikes with the purchase of an additional Power Vision Tune License. These licenses will cost $199.00 and there will also be special pricing for tuning shops. There is NO limit to the amount of ECMs that can be tuned with a single Power Vision, however each ECM will require a specific Power Vision Tune License. For additional information you can contact Fuel Moto at jamie@fuelmotousa.com or Dynojet at pvtech@dynojet.com

I have a question about the power vision that i have not seen discussed yet, or i missed it reading thru this thread. i understand that custom maps can be loaded provided by a professional tuner, and also that you can tweek your own tune. can the power vision be used by a tuner on a dyno jet for a custom tune? right now i have and air cleaner & pipes that match one of the canned tunes on Dynojets website, but if i add cams, do head work, or a larger throttle body/injectors i would need a dyno tune... don't want to go this route if this wont work for that.

of course it can. many of us are running custom tuned maps. if you buy your pv from fuelmoto, jamie will preload the tuner with a map that matches your components, and most likely will be a better map than the one on the dynojet website.
the caveat is, the dyno tuner you select has to be able to tune with the pv. just like if you had a sert, your tuner would have to have to software to manipulate that map.
Thanks, I assumed it did, but didn't see it mentioned. i will check with the local tuner here in gladstone to confirm that he will tune with it... I 'm interested in it because i can get a tune i can use now, and later get a custom tune after doing cams.. I also wanted to change pulley size, and the PV allows for adjustments to the speedometer.

Are there other ways to mount, I would not want to have it on the bike all the time, but might want to do some data logging for a custom tune. I've got a Road King, how readable is the screen in the sun?
And to those that were posting lower prices, I have seen the prices on other sites, but they do not give the double warranty, or custom maps. I think it is a small price to pay for the extra's and good service from Fuel Moto.
