So I bought the '09 FLHX I asked about in another post. I got what I thought was a decent deal. After two trips(don't ask) to the dealer (it was the personal bike of the owner of a local Ford dealer)to get everything in line, off I ride. In 3 short miles, the rear tire goes flat and pops off the rim. I call HOG for my free tow to the local HD dealer. Well it needed a tire and they also noticed the rear brakes were wasted. $420.02 later and I'm on the road again. I did call the dealer where I bought it and all I got from them was "You got a good deal on a bike that was an as is sale!" WTF. I hope all goes well from here on out. Sorry guys just venting!!!
So you bought it from a Car dealer? Personal bike of the owner? Is that the dealer that is saying "as is".
So what caused the tire to go flat, was there any air in it when you started the ride?
Sounds to me like the car dealer may have screwed you over. I'd be checking the bike over real well.
You'll get it right...At least you didn't get in a wreck from the tire...
While you're at it, you'd better have them do 15 K service on it too, just to make sure and not add injury to insult..unless you are going to do it yourself now..
You could probably buy an extended warranty too from HD but I've no idea what that would entail at this point, but it couldn't hurt to ask.. Good luck...

Dude,a flat tire can happen to anyone. The back brake could have been damaged when tire popped of rim!!! That's small change!! No need to vent over that!!!
I always like a guy who throws out a post & doesn't stick around to see the replies, he must think tires & brakes last as long on a bike as they do on his cage.
