I am replacing my brake pads on my 08 Street Glide the rears were no problem .
But the front brakes the two bolts that hold the caliper to the forks take a special size star socket . I got the socket but can not get two of the bolts off . I rounded them off, so now I trying to figure out what to do easy out ,vise grips any sugestions?
wow rounded them off with the right socket??try putting the socket on the bolt head and rapp it with a hammer a few good ones. other than that some vice grips TIGHTLY applied maybe?
Its a Japanese front end. "Showa" and has a 10 mm 12 point. You either used the wrong socket or a damn cheap correct one. This is why it pays to have good quality tools
