I would think that you should be able to get a small angle allen in there. I was lucky mine was already removed before I put on my Heavy Breather

It's going to wear out your fingers, but get the appropriate allen bit and find a wrench that will fit it, then place the bit inside the screw and turn it with the wrench. Those bolts have loc-tite on them from the factory, so they'll be a booger to get out, but they will come out. Just be careful not to slip and scratch up the underside of your tank.

you don't have to remove the tank, as has been said, the right allen and a little patience is all that's required....

you really don't need to pull the tank...i was able to reach the bolts for the bracket, just used an allen wrench

you can get to them with a allen wrench. but i took a bunch of painters tape and put in the area of the bolts on the tank so that you don't slip and scrastch the **** out of your tank.take your time you will be fine

I didnt pull the tank...It was a little tricky taking out the bolts I remember but I certainly did not have to pull the tank.

MAYBE I lifted the back a bit but no way did I pull the tank.
