The PO of my 09 FLHT installed a few chrome engine goodies. Nothing really matches and Im not really happy with the appearence of my bare engine.
Before spring I want to clean things up. Ive got several ideas and am looking for some opinions.
1. Return everything to the oem brushed aluminum.
2. Powercoat all the covers in a light gray that matches the natural engine. (That may be to much gray)
3. Powercoat all the covers wrinkle black.
4. Replace all the covers with chrome.
I have an 08 standard. Didn't care for the gray motor and brushed covers. I took all the covers and rocker boxes off and had everything chrome plated. Then masked the head fins and everything else. Then painted the motor with a high temp wrinkle black. I let it dry for about 4 days before curing. Came out great. 1 1/2 years later still looks just as good.
