Went to the Easyriders show in Atlanta yesterday. Now i want an amp & rear speakers.
Anyone using Hogtunes rear speaker pods & amp?If so how is the install & sound clarity?
I already have Hogtunes in the front & they're great. The wife don"t care for it ,but I've
got to have more sound.I like it LOUD.Open to all ideas.Trying to stay below $500.
J&M all the way...Amp and speakers. Just my .02 although I noticed that Yaffe has a great kit of Rockford Fosgate stuff too.
I can get you either or the Hogtunes stuff too but I replaced myHogtunes with J&M and it is night and day. http://www.baggernation.com/products-stereo.htm
save your money up and get hawg wired, you'll be glad you did the best plug and play period, you can get some good deals on it here from different vendors, frank at drago's just hooked me up on some hawg wired, j & m is good but not as good as hawg wired
I installed an elf audio two channel amp with the J&M 7.25 speakers. Way better than stock and way better than the Hog Tunes speakers with the same amp. The sound is fantastic and it can get really loud even when flying down the highway at 80 MPH.
if you want it loud and crystal clear--it may (will) cost more than $500--Hog Tunes ain't going to get you there. You either have to go J&M, HawgWired or custom with Alpine PDX 4 channel Amp, Speakers alone can reach $500 quickly.

If you are happy with the Hog Tunes up front then you've already answered your question.I'm running Hogtunes in all 4 holes with the Stock 80 watt HD Ultra's stereo and feel they have better bass response than J & M's You should be able to get 'er done within the price range you're looking to spend.
I could have opted for an overpowering system but not gonna make everyone within reach have to listen to my music and I sure as hell don't want to hear their's.
I take it your looking for rear speakers w/ pods and an amp? Ive been researching the same thing for my detachable king tour pac. and want a set of pods and rear speakers that will allow me to keep my pac detachable. The hog tunes is looking the best to me and my price range. I don't plan on entering the bike in any stereo competitions but would like a little more sound when riding with the pac on.

I agree.I just want more sound for me & not everyone around me.
Since I need rear speaker pods Hogtunes seems the way to go.
Rear speakers with the sound behind you will be a disappointment. Better to have amp'd speakers up front. If you must have 4 speakers get some fairing lowers for another pair.
