How comfy, uncomfy are these? Obviously, they're not for touring, I have a sundowner and the stock seat for that. Guy has one on craigslist for $125, and I've seen em on baggers, and they look really cool. I'm sure the wife won't like it, but for me, are they cool for afternoon rides, short trips to bike nights etc.? Is $125 a good price?, seems like it.
I have one I took off my 09 E-glide standard. I liked it but my wife wouldn't ride with it so I put on a Sundowner to get her to ride. I'll offer to sell it to you but it won't fit anything older than an 08.
I got one for my 08 SG after 2 years on stock seat. It's better than stock in that it lets me shift my seating position rearward an inch or two. The stock seat felt too confining. I'm not worried about passenger comfort.
I have on one my 07 flht. It looks right but she hates it. I have a mustang and a stock streetglide seat coming so we'll see who wins out.
I'm also putting the longer 07 SG dash on so the seat choice will be between the mustang and the SG seat. The badlander pushes my thighs upwards when dropping my feet down. The seat height is low but it is thick in the neck at the tank. I'm 5'8" though.
I like my badlander, I have put 500 miles on in a day on this seat but it is not the most comfortable and my wife absolutely hates it. I am looking for a more comfy seat for touring but for your average riding where you are solo and only a couple hours at a time this seat is great.
