Are you talking about a hole so he could insert the probe? If it was the only way he could insert the probe, then yes, it's a normal thing. It's a small hole, won't change your performance a bit.

I have the same problem with V&H headers using stock mufflers. The tech is ordering adaptors from V&H to use the 02 holes to insert the probe. I'm still waiting over two months. I've been in contact with him and can't see why it is taking so long. Think I'll poke a hole in my baffle but don't want to make it much louder. Anyone else done this?

It's pretty common. I've done it quite a bit. Especially on '06 and earlier bikes that didn't have o2 sensors. Bikes with o2 sensors I just take the o2 sensor out and put the o2 sensor from the sniffer in. I made my own adapter, just drilled a 1/4" hole in a o2 sensor plug and it works just fine, I only use it when I don't have room to get the sensor from the sniffer in the head pipe. If you let him drill it, you won't notice a diffence in the sound or performance.

Cool, thanks for the input. Yes, its for the probe. the Dyno guy says there isnt room to slide the probe by the baffle, ,,SO.. i let him drill a small hole, he says you'll never know.
