I added the sweeper bars for my 10' SG and had to reroute my clutch cable outside the fairing and I don't like it there. I've read various posts about a + 2" or 3" cable, p/n: 38649-08 but can't seem to find it anywhere in my google searches. Is this a HD part or something else? Any help would be appreciated...
Talking with one of the service guys about that very thing (Yaffe 10" MBB), he said that I would be perfectly fine with a +2" cable, but I went ahead and got a +4" just to be safe.
I forget the part numbers, but in the catalog there's a page that has a couple tables....one shows the stock length & the other is the steel-braided cables, listed by length. So we just looked up whatever cable was 4" longer than my stock 2010 SG one.
If you are looking for alternatives to standard OE issue I'd recommend a Black Pearl Magnum Shielding +4" clutch cable. Order ti direct from Magnum Shielding. That's what I used. If you want to stay with standard black vinyl cable, can't help you. Sorry 'bout that.

Yes that part # is a HD part---search for HD-38649-08 and you will come up with several places to buy that cable. That is the same cable I used when I installed Flanders +2+2 ultra bars
