The biggest problem is that they aren't EVO Roadkings.

No sir, you are mistaken.... The biggest problem with 08 RK's is that they do not have the 09's better frame and wider rear tire

Welcome to the forum. A little bit of advice- you could use a more descriptive title in your post. Also, try posting in the touring section.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the 08 line. Had a fuel filter shell recall, but that was about it. Don't listen to these *****-nillies telling you the new frame is all that and a bag of chips

But it is "all that, a bag of chips" and a 6 pack. But then again, I own one with the newer frame and never owned an '08' so what do I know.

Exactly. And for someone who really wants a good handling touring Harley, there are upgrades you can do to both the older and newer bikes that will make them handle better than any of the stock bikes.

I like the 08 Road Kings, personally, with the exception of the TBW, which I don't really love. I'd like the extra gallon in the gas tank, but I like the way the 5 gallon tank looks, so for me, that's kind of a wash.

I have a 2008 Road King for three years and love it. No problems at all!! It is a great bike.
