Default New bars!!!!!

finally did it, after hours of riding with stock bars and looking like a gimp when i got off my bike. now just waiting to get my inner fairing holes repaired and then off to paint. also going to do my chrome front end since im this far into it. wondering about lowering it an inch and maybe different spring, any idea's? any way my bars are 11's 1 1/4 and cant wait to take her out.

looks good so far... who's bars are they? how wide??

be sure to post more pics of the finished job....i'm sure you will..doing work yourself..the pride always makes ya wanna show it off...

i'm looking into 10" - 11" bars myself...don't wanna go 12-13 inches like alot do... i'm only 5'7" plus i don't want my hands over the fairing...get cold here and i ride down to the upper 30s...i like the fairing protection on my hands....

custom chome makes them and cheap$$$$ quality is good and has wires inside ( to pull yours with) i made some 12" extensions for the wiring and pulled through like butter w/ alittle lube. the bars are 11's and 36 wide. i wasnt real happy with them being taller then my fairing cause i ride everyday unless rain or snow! but sitting on it they sure do feel comfy. and yes im doing it myself never done it before but how else are you going to learn? my fairing is at my cousins body shop right now i started filling hole today but had to come work tonight so might not get it done till next week. but there will be many more pics to come.

Are those the Santee dresser apes? They do look a little taller than 11s. Looks good, though. I think you'll find even with your hands just above the fairing top edge, they'll still be in a calm pocket of air.

The bars themselves are cheap, it's all the other stuff that goes along with them that are expensive. I was going to go in that direction, but changed my mind and went the
W1's 575's. I still want to keep my hand in the fairing pocket.
BTW; Doerflers HD in KS sells them for $75 dollars. BJ is great guy to work with.

on the bars and cables i did some horse trading on a set of heads i had at the house!!! but yes all the BS that you have to buy is where the $$$$ come in. kinda like buying a bike $ then all the goodies you NEED for it $$$$$$$
