I was sitting on my bike the other day with it running getting ready to go to work and my gloves slid off the tank and landed against the front pipe shield, left a couple of blobs off the glove.........any ideas on getting the stuff off, probably rubber of some kind?
Thanks

Any chrome polish/cleaner will do the job. Just takes a bit of elbow grease. The wife has worn boots that when they touched the pipes would leave their mark.

I would try Easy Off Oven cleaner. Get the pipes warn, spray on the easy off let it sit for a few minutes and wipe it off. May have to do it a few times. Should work. Thats how I clean my pipes when I let my boots mark them up.

Get one of those magic eraser pads, wet it a little, and rub. Easiest thing you can use, works fantastic on your pipes.

Spray oven clean on RAG and wipe, DO NOT spray directly on pipe if it's near paint.

I've used the edge of a penny to scrape melted boot from my pipes. the penny is softer than the chrome and won't scratch the pipes.

+1 on the chrome polish.

My wife's boots also touched the pipes and the polish took it off very nicely

I've actually used combination of butter knife w/WD-40 & never dull to get burnt stuff off hot chrome. Worked great & didn't leave any marks...good luck!

I prefer 0000 steel wool and a little elbow grease.
