Count me in. Finished the install last night and went for a ride. Man why didn't I do this sooner. (Cycle smith 16's). When do I get my prospect patch.
Ordered a set of pre-wired Z bars from Hill and Country Custom Cycles last week, they should be here in a week or two. Also ordered RC Drifter 21"/18" set of wheels...maybe this stuff will get me to wash my bike more often.
I'll post some pics once installed...right now its a stock looking ultra with some willie g chrome on it. Any advice on the 16" apes with a 21" wheel?
My bike should be done today. I originally wanted the santee 11" but was told they were on back order until mid june. So instead I went with 13" bars. Still not true apes but they look good.
True apes start at 14" IMHO.
Years back (early and mid 90s) I installed apes on 2 different bikes myself, neither bike was a bagger though. I wasn't tackling these though. Too much stuff in the way.
07 electra glide with 16 apes and 21 front wheel.. love the look and the ride .. just keep in mind .. you put a 21 up front , it will raise the front end 1.25 inchs or there about. the wheel is 2 1/2 inchs taller then a 16..also have to remove the front bumper if it has one and adjust fender so it dont rub.. i went 18 rear and 21 front and lowered rear 1 inch and front 2 . love it now
