Unhappy Sad Day!

After a mishap where a cager hit my 2000 RG and did considerable damage to my bike it went to my local dealership for reconstructive surgery. Things were moving along slowly but seemed to be going ok until the new frame came in & they were trying to take the drive train out of the old frame and transfer it over to the new frame. They found the swingarm pivot bolt seized in the trans. housing.Things had been right on the edge of repairability and this was enough to push things over the edge and total the bike. Sadly the bike died on the operating table. The bike carried me on a lot of awesome adventures but I guess now it's time to move on to a new bike. Possibly one like the 09 Roadglide that I have been eyeballin at a nearby shop. Thankfully I'm here to tell the story which is far better than the alternative. Ride Safe Out There! Those Alabama women cagers are nuts!

We get attached to these things. I've never had to put one down but every vehicle I have ever traded in I couldn't help but feel like I've betrayed an old friend.

Sorry you lost her, better than the alternative
I'm sure you worked her over good
Now you get a new, more firm, tighter, bigger rear end.......
I'm sure you'll break her in just fine

Bottom line is glad that you are ok, on the bright side you get to make new memories and make your new ride your own. Stay safe.
