I'm running the Clearview GT Small, they claim is 1" shorter than stock, approx. 11" to 11 1/2" tall. I'm 6'2" and this one is perfect for me. No buffeting, or discomfort others are complaining about. I do get some wind, but I do like some wind while riding, after all that's part of why we are riding. We're riding motorcycles, wind is good.
I'm 5'10" on my 2010 RG, 1" lowering blocks (rear) and 2010 SG CVO seat(lower than stock seat).
I have the Klock Werks 12". The KW windshield can be modified with a heat gun. The
angle can be changed very easy. I modified the windshield to have 1" of additional vertical height. I was told by Brain Klock, the polycarbonate windshield can be molded
with no damage to the shield and he was correct.
I can hear the stock radio at 75mph and still get good rain protection.
The wind just brushes the top of my head.
We would like your opinion on taller RG windshields. We are taking a survey of how many riders do ride with one and how tall?
1st thing you gotta do is give the shields a name....."Shark Shield" sounds good...!!!
The sizes offered should be 8" 10" 12" 13" 14" 15" 16". As you can see, increments switch from 2" to 1" after the 12". The 8" and 10" should be offere in Black/Dark Tint/Light Tint. The 12"and up should be offered in Clear/Light Tint/Dark Tint.
Secondly, your web site "MUST" show a side shot picture of each shield in each size. Having a rider on the bike of a mentioned height (i.e 6'1") would be a good idea too. Remember that windshield selection/purchase by internet is always a head splitting task. Windshield buyers are ALWAYS afraid to order the wrong size.
If they look as good as (or better) than the WindVests, then you should sell a ton, as your prices are MUCH better. I'm only holding off on buying a Windest right now because I know that you are in the dungeon working on some taller shields at a more realistic price. I want an 8" shield for summer and a 14" shield for winter. Are they done yet?
Sorry for the long speech, but I just want to help you to help me...!!!
I'm 6'4" and have a Klockwerks 16" and would love to try an 18". The way the Klockwerks sweeps back the 16" is still a little short. I can see well over it.
I have a 2010 Road Glide custom...... Tried different shields..... 12 in wind vest smoke with flip up edge is perfect for me.... I look over the shield and get no wind in my face.... I'm 5 10 with a corbin solo seat...... hdman
