With my upcoming conversion, I need to start looking for shields. I will probably do the same as I did with my current fairing, a shorty for hot weather and a cool look, and a taller one for colder temps and long trips.
I took me lots of trial and error with my batwing, but the 2 shields I run are the 10" wind splitter and a 4" street glide shield.
I really like the look of the KW 6" road glide shield, for a cool looking hot weather shield. Is this one worth the $?
I would also like to see pics of what you shark guys are running, and what your experience with trial and error has to offer.
I'm running the 12" KW on mine. Used it on my 07 and now my 12. I have only tried the stock one and a 9" from HD. I am quite happy with the KW, it puts the wind flow just at the top of my forehead. My wife does not like it so much when she rides with me, she gets all the wind. I am also very happy with the way it looks on the bike, keeps it a little sporty looking. I am liking the looks of the 13" LRS mako though and may have to give that one a try. Seems like it might give the wife a little more protection as well.
