Thanks.. I will admit that the bike looks so much better with no shield, But after last summer and those big *** cicada's, I vowed to put the shield back on. Im not taking anymore of those big bitches to the nose at 80mph ever again if I can help it.
LOL !!
I have been riding without a shield ever since I got my motor done- about 5 months now.....
What worries me are the rocks. I live right off I-10, and when a rock hits my windshield in the cage and scares me half to death, I always think..... What if that was my face!!!!
I guess its about time I add mine. 2002 RKC, Luxury Rich Red. Bought it late June 2012 with the tour pack, stage one & 7,032 miles on it after my '04 Wide Glide was totaled at end of May that year. Now have around 31K, speakers, LED's, Bagger Brace + Aurora bearings in the swing-arm, '07 camplate etc with Andrews 21N and super cool Boobie taillight lense that no one ever asks about, but I like them. Also added Hella headlight, Dynamic Ringz , passing light mod, MC hitch and tie down brackets I see a PC-V in the near future. No one works on it but me, except getting tires mounted on wheels. Loctite everywhere unless theres a lock-washer & wide whites forever.

Exactly.. I used to be the guy that would sacrifice comfort for coolness.. But when it comes to getting hit in the face, Ill roll with the shield. Not to mention, I cant hear my speakers with the shield off as good.. I wouldnt have an issue going with the shield off if I was wearing a full face, but I use a half helmet..
Just took mine out of winter storage and added a Glidepro fairing. I'm taking off all the Live to ride stuff that came on it when I bought it last season. I'll probably do the wheels next since I really don't like the "knuckles" that come stock on the '13.
