This isn't supposed to happen. What's going on? I like cold weather, but this is ridiculous. I can't ride my bike in this crap!
Hey, lighten up on jpalm. We paid good money to move down here where we could ride 365 days a year. And it's not really the cold that's keeping our bikes in the garage. It's the dang 40-mph winds you northern boys sent down here.
Three whole days in a cage is just too much.
Cue those violins, please, while I go find a sweat shirt.
Seriously, hope it warms up before you guys head down for Bike Week.
I remember visiting my Uncle at his condo at University Ave. and San Jose Blvd. on St. John's River way back in Christmas 1981 or 1982. 20 degrees and snowing. My parents and I escaped New York for the warm weather.
Now, Do you want all of my snow ?. Am getting pissy here and there for not being able to ride my Ultra.
Our only problem is trying to find clothing heavy/warm enough to buy. Most stores do not have the equipment to buy since it is Florida. So if you think we would not ride in the winter then come on down with your 'after labor day' clothes and take a ride. You will then realize that we are stuck with Madison Avenue mentality.
Last Thursday walked out of work and we had 30" of snow and the wind chill was -25F. I mean that combo just kicks you in the nuts hard. Go by the mc parking and I'm thinking back to that day in August when I told the guys at work it was a little warm on the ride home yesterday. WTF, I'll never complain about that again
