Alright!!! Now we're getting somewhere. Those are the exact two setups I'm interested in. The stock front end sucks!

So, if you had to do it all over, what would you do? Ricor/Intiminator, Ricor/Monotube, 940/Intiminator, 940/Monotube?

Looking for balance of good ride and handling...

I'd do Ricor on both ends, they will give you a forum discount

If the costs were equal, which would you choose? Is the Monotube from Progressive any good?

the cost is about the same, I bought the Progressives from Phat Performance for $570 for the 940's and $310 for the monotubes + free shipping, the Ricors were $630 for the shocks and $195 for the Intiminator + $23 shipping, I was happy with both shocks once I dialed them in, you have to put them on the bike ride and adjust which is easy to do on both, I like the Intiminators because you put them in and they work period, don't know how but they work, I loved the monotube's as well, my complaint on them is I put them in and it was a little to harsh on the rebound for me, to soften the rebound I had to disassemble them in order to remove a c clip and then put them back together, a little more work but once I got them where I wanted them I was very happy with their performance as well

Great info; thanks for the response! Is the 'c' clip on the Monotube like a heavy duty option?

Are there any pic's of what these look like?(Intiminator - monotubes- Ricors - ? ) I need to see the difference between these and the Progressive Front Spring 1" Drop kit ?? Why are these so much and so different?

the Progressive monotubes are a complete system, you basically throw everything out on the inside of your forks and install them, they come in a standard kit and lowered kit, the Ricor is a valve that goes inside your forks above the dampening rod using your current components, to lower your forks you would buy the progressive drop in lowering kit and install it along with the Ricor Intiminator, I've used the drop in lowering kit by it's self and it lowers the bike but the front end still is soft and mushy, I'd lower it with the Monotube kit or he Ricor Intiminator and drop in lowering kit[quote=legendzzz;7664110]Are there any pic's of what these look like?(Intiminator - monotubes- Ricors - ? ) I need to see the difference between these and the Progressive Front Spring 1" Drop kit ?? If you put in the Progressive 1" lowering kit and then put in a HEAVY WEIGHT OIL would that make the front end not smushy any more ? Say double the oil weight ? I mean I do not drive that aggressive at all and my front is mushy and it is OK ?

a heavier weight oil will help, but I personally don't like the front end, I bottomed out and dented fenders and had bad experiences even not riding aggressively, when I put the monotubes in and on another bike the Ricor Intiminators on bottoming and other issues went away and the bike tracked and handled better
