Has anyone ever had to repair a small hole in their exhaust header? Mine is leaking just behind the crossover behind the motor and am wondering if I need to replace the hole pipe or if there is a quick fix of some sort.
My fist question is how did you get a hole in your pipe ? I would weld it {the best way} or clean it up and use some epoxy puddy , the stuff you mix in your fingers , it should solve your problem.
I would take this opportunity to switch to duals If there is a hole at the crossover then it is probably at the weld in the pipe itself. You can always find stock exhaust pipes on Ebay if you want a more permanent fix. Many of has have swapped out our stock exhaust. Heck I have a stock set from my 04 sitting in my garage....has 15k miles on them.
I don't really know, we just noticed that there was always hot exhaust coming out and looking at it more closely I believe it is under the heat shield. I was sure if one of the liquid metals would do it if I can even get to where ever it is coming from. Thanks for the advice.
Are you sure that the flange is not loose at the head? Not to sound stupid, but you're going to feel hot exhaust, are you sure that you even have a leak?
