I like white bikes but I'm not a fan of the denim (primer) look.
As far as getting another SG or going for an UC that depends on what type of riding you will be doing most and how much of it will be with a passenger.
Solo the street glide is fine and you can always put a tour pack on it if you need more storage for a long trip.
If you do mostly two up like me then the Classic suspension and standard tour pack make sense. I went with the EG Classic as it has everything I need.
The white Denim is great, the metallics in the paint in the daylight are unbelieveable ! I like white and Black bikes you see a ton of Black but not many whites . I have seen one in my dealers showroom and have asked about a purchase, he said he has not had many in the white but said this one has been staying around for awhile? It is a different and bright color !
The white denim has what they call an "eggshell clear coat" It is the only denim paint that has it. This is according to what one dealer told me so take it for what it's worth.
If you look at it closely it does appear to be more on the satin side that flat.
Ive got it on my SG and I have to say that I love it. Its actually not that hard to keep clean but as has been stated in previous posts its made to fade and be "broken in like a pair of jeans" as someone said. I dont know if I'm a fish or not but I bought the denim paint cleaner and a micro fiber cloth from the dealer that I used to clean it and it cleans up great! I saw it in the showroom and thought eh, its cool its a white Harley, I kind of think that's cool. Then they rolled it out into the sun and it popped. There is a ton of metallic and gives it an iridescence that I love. Pictures and the paint swatch in the back of the HD catalog dont do it justice you have to see it in person. FWIW thats my
Saw one at the dealer today. This particular SG had almost 6 large in dealer upgrades, lots of black. I think the paint looks very nice, especially in the sun. Definitely won't see many others like it.
i saw the white denim street glide at battle field hd and i thought it looked cool. My input is everyone spends thousands of dollars making their harleys "unique", you don't see many white denim hd's, go for it. But then again, i would endorse that phsyco purple color too..!
hey papifun, hope you got some use out of that luggage rack that you bought from me last spring. i think that white is killer. wasn't available when i bought my UC or i would have been very interested. get what you want then make it to match your personality. congrats on the new bike.
