Default SEPRT question

Just got a new to me '08 RKC. Came with a SEPRT and V&H slip ons. Question is, can I hook the SEPRT up to the bike and my computer and find out the horsepower, torque etc or do I need to take it to be "tuned"? Just curious what the numbers are, not curious enough to spend $300 +/- to find out where I'm at. Please excuse any ignorance I'm showing, I freely admit I know very little about these things.

You can get a baseline run on a dyno and it won't cost near that much. It'll will tell you how much power the bike is making and if it could be tuned to make more power. The dealership I deal with does these free sometimes and an Indy shop locally does them for $55. To me, that's money well spent to know if the bike is running at optimum and if they tell you they can get more out of it, the $55 goes towards the cost of a "tune" if you choose to get one.

$55 sounds reasonable to me. I definately think it would be worth checking out.

I should have said, no you can't get that information with a computer. Do you have the little box that hooks up to the computer?

No, you cant hook it up and get those values. you have to make a pull on a dyno to assess HP and TQ...

You should be able to do everything I originally said then. Good luck and welcome to the forums.
