The thing that pisses me off the most is that I've had this car since new, it is 100% original and in near perfect condition, without a nick, scratch or dent until yesterday. '97 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Useless to me now - it can never be original again.

I feel for ya, I had a 95 Taurus SHO all original, old guy fell asleep on a city street and came over into my lane and took out from the front wheel all the way down the drivers side and tore off the rear wheel, rear fender and bumper. Needless to say they totaled the car. This happened at 2:00 in the afternoon, still trying to figure out how he fell asleep.
Sorry to hear about car, the important thing is you live to ride another day.
Nice write up. It reminded me of back in the mid-70's, we would relocate the fill valve from our air shocks inside the car near the drivers seat. Back then, the cops were always hassling people for having the *** end of the cars jacked up too high. Having the fill valve inside would allow us to lower the rear of the car before the cops had us pulled over, but eventually the cops caught on to it.
