Better off probably spending the extra $ and going with Hawgwired or Biketronics.. Get a hold of firecap(Wayne) on this site, he can set you right and has about the best deals and does not try to push one product on you like some do..
It looked like a good mod. to me also, but a 20% increase? I don't think I could tell the difference until there was a 50 or 75% difference. I will pass on this one too.
I own a 2010 cvo ultra. Purchased the bass ports for the tourpak. Made sure with the parts department before the purchase that my current amplifier could be programed. Installed them myself and took the bike to the dealer for the software upgrade. Everytime they tried the rear speakers would shut off. They told me they would call Harley and inquire what was wrong. They called me back in a couple of days and said Harley told them my amplifier didn't need the upgrade and the bass ports were working correctly. I told them they are crazy that there was no difference in sound that there had to be another answer. They called me again in a couple days and now were told by Harley that I needed the 2011 amplifier which can be programed. Over 500.00 in parts to upgrade plus labor. I argued with the dealer that they told me the ports would work with the current configeration and I never would have bought them if they gave me the correct information. Since I had the holes drilled in the tourpak already they agreed to install the 2011 amplifier for free. Parts and labor didn't cost me a dime. The sound is incredible. It's not just the base ports that benefit from this upgrade but all the speakers as well have a much better sound quality. Much clearer and can go louder without distorting. If you deceide to upgrade you won't be dissapointed. The extra thick liner in the cvo tour pack doesn't change the bass port installation. Make sure you also upgrade to the boom audio speakers all around.

Well this certainly is encouraging but at $500.00 I dont know if it is worth it. I already have Hog Tune rear speakers and the J&M 7.25 Front speakers as upgrades.Boom had not come out yet. I also have Hog Tunes in my lower fairing powered by a separate Hog tunes Amp. I would do it for say a hundred bucks but likely will cost $700.00 since I wont be able to swing a deal like yours. I guess the real question is: If you personally would have to have paid the 500 bucks knowing now how thw system sounds would you still do it? Are you anywhere near Montgomery,Al. as I would love to hear this system. I wonder what kind of programming an 11 has different than a 2010. Appreciate any additional info you can provide. Harley does not mention any programmong requirements in their ad for this system in their P&A CATALOGUE. Thanks Hunter. Look forward to hearing from you. MACK
