I understand that asking the following questions can onsidered 'rude' but considering you are amongst friends.....
What kind of "hit" did you take on the VALUE of your trade in bike since purchase?
What reduction did you get of the price of the new bike?
Just curious.......
Ride In Peace
There are some things I only discuss with my Wife - your questions fall in that category. Sorry but I'll pass on this one.
2 words for you sir " SLIP-ONS", Now lets get going and start your list of what you want and another list of what you are really going to get. You will see a big difference between the two. LOL!
Lot s Of Luck !
Just decided to quit messing around with a decision - So I told them "Screw it I'll buy it." Got myself an early Christmas Present tonight. Traded in my 2010 Fatbob for a 2011 Road Glide Ultra about 3 hours ago.
From the ride home - about 15 miles - it's like night and day between the Dyna and this one. Will take it to work tomorrow and see how it does on the highway.
Congrats on the new bike -- like you I didn't listen everybody told me to get a touring bike I got a Dyna--took on the highway to work, after work rode it straight to dealer and got a SG that was in 06 -- Enjoy the bike

Guess it's gonna take me some time to get comfortable with this new one. Wish I had gotten one like this from the beginning like many people tried to tell me. But I didn't really know what I was getting myself into, nor how obsessive it would be. Now I wish I had started riding sooner.
Congrats on your new scooter and Christmas present. Enjoy.
Me like many others on here have to wait a few months before we get to enjoy ours. Freakin WINTER sucks...

Yeah I've already started looking at'em. Had put Scream' Eagle slip-ons on my FatBob a few months ago. Didn't quite have the sound I thought they would. Looking into other options this time.

I held onto my Dyna for 8 1/2 months. Everyone told me I'd move up within a year or so, and I told them they were nuts - 'cause I don't do stuff like that. WELL...now I guess I got some 'splaining to do.
Congratualtions man! I have had mine now for 2 weeks today and love it! It is one fantastic ride, your gonna love it. Got 400 miles on so far and have been sick from riding it in the cold weather, Doctor and wife tell me to stay off of it for awhile but it just hard to do!
I've already put over 100 mile on it today. They only thing that'll keep me off of it is cold weather or ice and rain.
