Default Need help, trailer door dimensions

Thinking of picking up 5x8 V-nose TC Trecker(Wells Cargo) comes standard with a 5 foot tall box. Question what size opening on the rear door is necessary to clear the windshield on an electraglide classic, is 5ft tall enough? I know bigger is bettter(ie 6x10) but have been looking at a local trailer, also used to have a Classic 5x8 v-nose but don't remeber the measurements. The Classic served me well. Thanks for your help.

i'll suggest the obvious. first, get a tape measure. step 2, measure from the floor to the top of your windshield. now the next step is gonna be tough. use the same tape measure, or another one if you prefer, and measure the height of the door opening, and the width to make sure your bike will fit. not to be a smartass, but you asked, i just gave you all the information that should help you to determine if it will fit.

I have a 6x10 TC Trekker for my ElectraGlide Classic. I can stand up straight in it without a problem (I'm 5'10") and the windshield clears with room to spare. My door height is 67 inches. If I lost 7 or 8 inches off that I'd be worried about my head, since that sits higher than the windshield by a few inches, and if I'm loading and unloading by myself I do it sitting in a riding position. I would also be concerned about moving around the bike to tie it down in a 5' wide trailer. Might be a bit tight!

You've had a 5' wide trailer so I may not be telling you anything you don't already know, but I thought I'd point out a couple of things to consider.

Thanks for the info, believe the opening is 67 inches on the 5x8 so the windshield should clear. Yes, the 5ft wide is a little tight but can be done with the side door and Condor chock. Re using the tape measure, once did all that and had a problem as the bike went from the ramp to the box as it changed the height from a flat measurement.
