I don't have access to that info. My manuals are for '06 and '08 touring bikes. The '09 and up have different wheels, rotors, axles, etc. and will likely have different torque specs.

I am going to start tonight or friday. First thing I am going to do is read the manual on front wheel removal and the fork and light removal.
I will post the tork specs if I find them

The videos posted. Are they for pre 2000 models?

you can use this for a universal Hydro glide type fork. They are different variations that cover every HD fork unless it is an inverted or cartridge type. I cover the cartridge type under Buell. Use common sense and you will have no problems. You also overlooked the PDF of both types as that is your answer to your question to how to do them. It takes a very long time to do all of the teaching tools shown above.

You'll shoot your eye out, kid!!

J/K - Read, prepare, have all your tools, parts and oil laid out, take your time and like FH said, use common sense, along with your manual and you'll be fine. Ain't that hard and you'll feel great that you did this yourself and saved some cash to boot. If you get stuck, come back here and ask questions. Good luck.

Got started
Took off windshield , front light and passing lamps. Next comes front brakes, fender and wheel.

Nervous about doing the job but taking my time.
Have taken photos and will post when I get done.

Might take me awhile, doing brakes, cleaning calipers and replacing rotors while it is apart.

Got everything off.
The bolt with the air inlet I left on. Dropped the forks and reinstalled the big main nut, that you take off to drop forks.

I stuffed in 2 small rags in hole in top and duct taped it. Stood them upright in a box so oil would not leak out.

At this point took it to a small shop, Harley mechanic. Couple local guys told me about him He took it apart, put the chrome lowers on, new seals and oil.
$83.00 total

Half of what the stealer wanted just for labor. Stealer wanted $ 143.00 plus parts.

He did the same as me. Put small rage in top and taped it. Took it back stood upright not to spill oil and reinstalled them.

Will post some photos later this week.

Very cool!! I can't wait to see pics!! I just finished assembling new forks with lowered springs and chrome lowers for my scoot......just gotta add oil and find the time to put them on.

Hang in there man, it really isn't as tough as it seems. I can't wait to see your final pics!!
