Thought that I would post up what I did and share my thoughts of what I did.
First off thanks to Dr. V-twin, Marty (MyRide7), Jake at Glide-Pro, and the people on here for all the great info and pictures.
For starters I did 12" Yaffe's, I love these. All the stuff I read on here about how good they feel was spot on. They make a world of difference. They are a PITA to run the wires through but honestly did not take me near as long to do as first thought.
I had a bad wobble on this bike and debated on which way to go Glide-Pro system or a brace set up. I am happy to tell you that since I installed Jake's bushing it rides like a new bike. It also pulled to the right if I took both had of the bars. Well thanks to Jake and his very informative videos I got that issues fixed as well by aligning the wheels.
Marty (MyRide7) did a great job on my speedo, tach, and HK faceplate. I added some leds to the small gauges and speaker grills. Crazy money for the grills from j&m so I did my own for $10.
The rest was just small stuff like drop the brick in the back for the cyclevision eliminator and switch to RedLine in the trans. Very happy with both. Again, read alot about people saying Redline this and that. You guys were right better shifting and easy to find neutral now.
Your bike looks great. I love it. Winter is a great time for all the add ons. I just bought a Condor wheel chock and a Mustang drivers backrest and now I'm putting on new exhaust. Unfortunately, there's nothing else I need. What am I gonna do the rest of the winter??
Thanks for the compliments guys. The LED's in the speakers are from a local electronic store. They are 3 leds in a sealed unit with the load resistor. Autozone and superbright leds sell something very similar but these are super cheap and work great.
you did a great job. it looks mighty sharp. i've been wanting to swap bars on my streetglide too, but i'm just too damm lazy. perhaps a case of those 5 hour energy bottles might help.
Vey nice set. How did you make your speaker grills?
I got the led strips from a local electronic store. Autozone sells flex led strips that can be used as well. I preferred these cause there ridged. Sprayed the them black so they blended into the grill, double sticky taped to tweeters. If you look real close you can see the black bar that runs across. Then I drilled a small hole in the speaker adapter and ran the wires threw it. Sealed the hole with RTV and tapped into the wires into the gauge lighting wires.
I am getting alot of interest in these grills. I might a have to make a kit an sell them lol.
