fuel tank canopy installation ?
I removed the fuel tank canopy to fix a small dent in the gas tank.Its a fuel injected bike so the fuel pump, filter and sending unit is all one assembly. When I try to put the assembly back in ,right before it meets to the flange on top of tank the botton of the fuel pump hits the bottom of tank.It holds it up about an 1/4 inch up from flange on tank, but it goes right down with a little pressure.Dont remember if it was that way before. It does have a round pad on bottom of fuel pump ,I thought maybe it was supposed to be this way to keep it from vibrating around but not sure.Thanks for any help.
