Got a couple of questions. Are the PC configurations made according to the ECM downloads? I thought the PC went around the ECM so the particular download on the bike would not matter. If so, is it better to start with the stock download? I have the 1450 racing
download on my 06' FLHXI but I am thinking about using the PC so not sure if I should have the stock download put back on.
I'm using PCIII with a 1450 download. Don't need to put your stock download back on. I ordered from fuel moto and they pre-programmed it with my bike's mod and runs a lot better.
Leave your ECM as is, PCIII works either way...you simply wasted good money on the HD flash. With a PCIII/precise tune you will see how well your bike can run/perform!

I have a similar situation except I have a SERT. I was talking to Jamie at Fuel/Moto yesterday. I'm thinking of changing to the PCIII. He said I should return the ECM to stock before installing his PCIII.
Now I'm confused. Logic tells me that it shouldn't matter because i believe the Power Commander overrides the ECM. Just don't know!
Sort of confusing isn't it? I guess I will speak with Fuel Moto and see what they reccomend.
I just know that even though my flhx is not running as lean as when stock, it still does not
idle as smooth as it should and still pops through the mufflers a little. This is with the "racing download" which is supposed to be different than the stage 1 and even the screamin eagle downloads.
