The reason that I personally avoid buying anniversary bikes, is because it limits me on what I can change (without ruining the anniversary thing). I like to change stuff.

The 08's happen to look like Duracell batteries. I got burnt out on that color rather quickly.
I like the 03 colors much more.

Added value? I doubt it.
Sales gimmick? Hard to doubt that one!

I have one, and I bought it because I like it, is it worth more ,not really.
The dealers around here in Indiana seem to get a premium for them, and the blue book says they are worth more, or on par with 05 and 06 bikes.

Too bad MoCo doesn't get smart and make their anniv bikes with special mods and features and then of course limited amount of production qty - maybe offer a couple of custom paint schemes to choose from as well. The bikes should be unique, solid, better then their normal production bikes and very limited - maybe even custom dare I say....

Until that happens - I see no value in any of their current anniv bikes after '54 either. :-)

Just my 2¢ and some very odd change.

Considering how many were made, I don't think they have any more value other than sentimantal but you can bet that people are using it as an excuse to want more money for it.

The real value is in enjoying it, same as with any other bike or car. If your interested in resale $ you would be better off investing your money elsewhere.

The only value in one of the anniversary editions depends on what you paid for it and how much you wanted it. There is really nothing, save paint and emblems, that distinguishes these units.
The MoCo could make them special by producing fewer and adding components not available on other editions.

Pleased to have a 100th anniversary bike here, but don't think it's more valuable than a 2004.

Thumbs down

Well, if you want a 100th, there is a brand new still in the crate 2003 Low Rider on eBay right now. I think the bidding is closing in on $10K and the Reserve has still not been met. This one has been on eBay on and off since last summer for a Buy it Now of $13,900 or there about. NADA has the average Retail at $8,220. If you buy this bike . . . as soon as you take it out of the crate it'll be worth about $8,220 . . .

Looks like a row of 100th bikes in the crate. Maybe one of every model. At destination daytona there is a bunch on display. I like them but would not pay extra for the badges. T

i've seen a lot of black and silver 100th anniversary harleys through the years, and also the 105th duracell copper top editions. i see no additional value in them.
