question?
Is your concern related to the year, or the model? Or both? 2004 and 2005 touring chassis' are the same, i.e., swingarm and forks sizing/specs. I think all the touring bikes use the same configuration wheels for a given chassis (though some wheels are 'mags', and some spoke). I'm about 99% sure swapping wheels as you describe is a bolt-on exercise. About the most that might differ are the axle spacers (and I doubt there's any difference). Provided your bike's stock, and the wheels you're swapping to are stock, you ought to be ok. Take a good look-see at both sets of wheels, note the spacers, the way the rear brake's mounted, etc., and you ought to get a pretty good feel for how things will go. I suppose it's a question of not wanting to spend the money on something that won't work. If it were me and I had any questions, I'd call a dealer, tell them what I was going to do, and get the word from them before committing to anything. But a ball-park estimate is yeah, it ought to work. Good luck. Alan
