I purchased and installed the above from www.hoppeindustries.com and it is a really nice addition to my road king. I think my bike is now an Electra King.

I've seen those on the web, and they look pretty nice. I've been wondering though, how heavy are they? Does it really add a lot of effort to parking lot maneuvering?

PICS!!!!

I would'nt mind one of those on my king for longer trips, or if I just wanted a different look.

The weight is a guess but I would say 10-15 lbs max. The view from behind is no different than a stock EG.

My take on it:

1. price - those are pricey, but what isnt in the way of adding audio to a bike.
2. radio that comes with it - was told by a guy who uses it, that the cd player constantly skips, (Its a cheap radio mind you)
3. Audio level - There is alot of treble, with little bass from the speakers that are sent with it. The same guy told me that his audio level drowns out about 80mph, however 4 speakers in the front of your motorcycle is great, there isnt another manufacturer out there that offers this, that Im aware of.
4. Appearance - its clean, and usable in that you can remove it (I would add a quick disconnect to my wires), and its all incased in one unit.

My responses of the attached........My take on it:

1. price - those are pricey, but what isnt in the way of adding audio to a bike. (I am told that Just the radio from HD is 900 plus).
2. radio that comes with it - was told by a guy who uses it, that the cd player constantly skips, (Its a cheap radio mind you) (I have not used the cd but was told by Hoppe that skipping is a problem but the esclipse model 200w they included did it less than others they have used.) I have added sirius radio and listen to it all the time)
3. Audio level - There is alot of treble, with little bass from the speakers that are sent with it. The same guy told me that his audio level drowns out about 80mph, however 4 speakers in the front of your motorcycle is great, there isnt another manufacturer out there that offers this, that Im aware of. (At 70-80 with a 1/2 helmet and short 5 inch windshield I can hear mine fine. There is a lotta noise at that speed!!!!)
4. Appearance - its clean, and usable in that you can remove it (I would add a quick disconnect to my wires), and its all incased in one unit. (It comes with a 1/2 turn marine quick disconnect on the wiring circuit. It is just 4 acorn bolts holding the init on the bike and is a 5 minute removal process max.)
