Default Ounces of oil in 13" Showa Ultra shock?

2006 Ultra
Anyone know what the OEM shock capacity is? I filled my shocks with new oil yesterday and put in 11 ounces (325 milliliters) but perhaps it should have been 12 ounces (354 milliliters). Should I add another ounce?

Thanks

You should be good where you are. My '07 takes 10.8 oz. (11.1 for RK) and '06< should have the same spec. I'm sure someone with an '06 can verify this.

Service Manuel for Touring 2006 calls for 10.8 fl ozs (328 cc). Exception for Road King, it calls for 11.1 fl ozs (328cc). griffy

texasbowhunter's post on changing the shock fluid ("making the stock shocks better" I believe was the thread title) should give you some insight on the fluid amount.

Oops, and that's not the first time I've gotten forks and shocks confused. Maybe that's why my bike is so low in the front and high in the back.

The 13 in
The 13" Showa shocks on my 07 RK take 12 oz. I think these shocks are the same as yours. I'm not sure that being 1 oz under filled makes a big difference. You could just try them and see how they feel and if you're not happy, add another oz.
