Any benefit to the ceramic coating other then just heat? Better flow maybe?

The main benefit of the ceramic coating is for heat reduction. Heat is more pronounced on a steel pipe than on a stainless system, as stainless has much better thermal coefficient and will simply run cooler. On the other hand if you do not coat or plate a steel pipe it will immediately start to oxidize (rust). As far as performance, some have said that a ceramic coated pipe will scavenge better as it retains more heat in the exhaust stream. Of the testing we have done on the dyno with ceramic coatings over the years it is pretty inconclusive but in theory it should help. Our main reason for offering the ceramic coating is for the additional heat reduction and customers were requesting it, and the sterling silver HTC is absolutely stunning.

Are you coating your stainless or are you making a steel pipe and coating that? What measured heat differences are there?

With all due respect like I stated before in another forum, your sales person did not offer me the option of a ceramic coating even though your system at the time was backordered. I had my set done in ceramic flat black by a local guy, so who knows how long the coating will last. Not only that, but I'm sending a big flag up to a HD dealer on a new 2011 bike. I would have much preferred the silver coating as new from you, but my local guy can not not do the silver. As a precaution, I also wrapped and sealed the headers.

Jamie,
I would suggest that you get your sales people on the same page. I've been dealing with Brian and just ordered a quiet baffle for my dyno tuned Jackpots that are on the way. Money spent for the Jackpot header, dyno tuned mufflers, optional end caps and a quiet baffle, and I was never offered the ceramic coating. What's up with that?? I do not mean to flame your business, but for the same price locally I could have had this done by your company and I feel done right.

Tomorrow I have to go to a muffler shop and have the right side extension expanded to fit over the header extension as it will not fit. Imagine that!! BTW, we are Fullsac dealers and I'm using your parts, so that must say something.

Can we fix this,or do something before installation?
Buddy.....

I'll assume going to your headpipe would dramatically reduce the heat issue on the stock pipe with the cat. Do you have any tuning figures running your headpipe with one of the SE Nightstick (supertrapp) mufflers?

Moving forward we are always looking at ways to improve our products, and we try to blanket these changes, upgrades, and updates to the best of our abilities. We are not offering the ceramic option until they are finished and ready to ship in the next few weeks. I thank you for your feedback and support of our products.

We are coating our stainless steel pipes which already offer excellent heat dissipation. This will make for the ultimate combination for construction, durability and heat resistance. When they are finished in the next couple weeks we will publish specific test data
