So, I take it they actually help in the cold. This is my first year of riding in the cold and I have worn layers under my jacket and stayed pretty warm but legs got cold and that spread and ...... SHRINKAGE.

I was thinking of long underwear but I don't want all that changing clothes when I get to work.

Chaps really help in the cold?

Cold weather, or rain only. Nothing worse then being cold or wet on a bike, Also the lowers that snap on the HWY bars help alot too.

Cold weather.... never just to look cool. Living in Fl and grew up in RI, I don't wear them much down here. I've had the same pair for 25 years. Well okay, the waistline shrunk and I had to had some leather added. 'nuf said

Chilly weather only for me..but women should wear them always when riding with men...the way I see it.
