I purchased a set of rechromed off ebay a few years ago for my wifes Softail Deluxe. They look nice and are holding up very well.
This is a project I'm looking to do for my SG this year.

Edit: Don't forget the Upper Fork Slider Covers as I did. I don't know what I was thinking when I took the parts out to the Indy to install.

I have a friend that did the rechrome a couple of years ago. It has held up fine. I went with the front end kit from HD through Lakeshore. It was a good price.

Wasn't real happy with the legs I bought from my dealer, going to ride'em awhile and then replace them with some A.N. hidden axles........

I've used the ebay ones on 2 bikes now and they work fine. They're mostly Harley takeoffs anyway.

Just got mine today, ordered them off of ebay , what a P.O.S. Half the threads are missing on one stud , the insides are corroded and a small area of chrome is missing from the cap. Sending them back and going with factory chrome, at least you see it before you buy it.

Check these guys out, a few of my friends have used them and the chrome holds up real well, so does the powder coat, it's not too pricey either:

I will probably be ordering mine in a week or so for the road king, it really makes a difference on the front end.
