Sorry TB, this is the first thread I have seen on it. Sorry if you have already had this discussion. You really didn't need to comment. You added nothing to the conversation.
agreed plus one, they also discontinued that yellow and black bumblebee paintjob for fuglies. paintjob was a test on how ugly can a fugly get. personally I think the minimal pinstripes on the 09 and up were a big improvement
My guess is there will be a fugly trike and Im hoping they'll bring back the Heritage softail springer or possibly a Night Train with a springer front end.

The longer I look at the Fugly,, the more it really looks like a GoldWing to me....such as ...no fender trim, the Shark Fairing, The Twin Headlights. and the dash board, console set far away from the rider....anyway, just to be clear, I love GoldWings.....over thirty years ago,,, my first bike was a Honda 550......but have ridden Harleys ever since....but to me that Fugly sure looks like those metrics at least to me so I have to quit staring at it....IMO
Here's some news for you TB: in California, the 2012 will be the last models not requiring the use of EPA-mandated emissions parts on California highways. 2013 is the first year of the new rules:
....c'mon HD build me a 1600 CC V-ROD Bagger with sub-woofer sound....and keep it under $19K...I'll be the first in line...
1600 cc v-rod bagger with sub woofer sound....yes
and keep it under $19K......good luck
BMW's new 1600cc 6 cylinder (160hp) bagger is supposed to be priced at around $26,000. I don't see Harley developing a bargain basement pricing strategy.
Don't know why they haven't done more with the V-rod motor. It's reputation is "bullet proof."
They canceled the last Porsche developed motor. Maybe history will repeat itself.
I did'nt like the fuglys at first but they have grown on me and now I think they look really good. Look like they would ride good. Don't look at one to long, it might get you.

I'll be sorry to see the Crossbones dropped from the lineup. That is a great looking scoot, maybe the best looking of all the softails. The Rocker? Well, who didn't see that one coming. They look good with a Heartland kit, but otherwise, it's a bike that no one is going to miss. As far as the three wheel Harleys, they aren't even on my radar.
Well, like james says, maybe they will bring bring back the Heritage springer.
a v-rod with a frame mounted fairing(roadglide, windjammer) and a nice set of hard saddlebags would make a good touring bike. might attrach some younger riders to harley.
