I put the 54662-09 Street Glide shocks on my 2010 Sportster 1200C. From my research, those shocks are the Arnott Aldan 12" shocks. I dont need the air system on the Sporty, just pump up the pressure when needed. So I am wondering why some are asking/comparing stock shocks to Arnott if they are one in the same. If they are Arnott's, you can just buy the air system parts without replacing the shocks.

The Doc sells a lot of Arnott's. Both of the baggers have regular progressive shocks on them. I never hear any complaints on the Arnott's and agree they have great customer service. fI sell them at a discount everyday.
We have used both styles of Arnott systems ,The Aldan style has multiple rebound settings (11 I think) Most people will not mess with the settings. I will admit the Aldan does have a smoother ride. I run Bilstien set up on my personal bike and have no complaints. I've had this system for 4+ yrs,no problems. Arnott is a great company to deal with.
We have been selling the Arnott Air Suspension for some time, even to some forum members on here. NEVER had a complaint. We were getting such good feedback, we installed a set on 3 of our personal bikes. My partner and I love them and recommend them every chance we get.
i have the arnnot aladans on my street glide i purchased last spring did alot of research before i bought them . but never could get a good adjustment on the right air presure they were to rough. just shiped them back to the dealer to may be see if there was a defect in this set. excelent custermer service hope they corect the problem
Air ride system components are prone to failure - shock seals/bags, solenoid assembly, compressor, air lines/fittings, switches. Who wants to be miles away from home with a hardtail bagger? Best suited for bar hoppers!
Sorry to dig up an old thread here but at least I used the search function
Does anyone have any suggestions for air pressure in the Arnott aldan system on a SG. I am 5'10 165 I have the air gauge but can seem to find the right spot, I only hve 4 rides on them.
