I have painted the backside of clear bug shields on pickup trucks to match body color, works very good since the paint is not exposed to rocks, bugs, etc.... can't see why this wouldn't work on your wings.

Why don't you just get a set of black opaque Freedom Wings? They are only about $30 and they are hinged so you can open and close at your discretion.

Hmmmm guess I wasn't thinking. I could have swore I didn't pay $80 for mine at the Dallas HD dealer. It seemed like they were only $30-$40, but guess I'm wrong. At any price they are awesome wings and look great.
