Ask them for the 2011 SG with 103 for 20K. That would be a sweet deal.
+1 - unless you are set on the custom paint of the 2010. I would negotiate the heck out of a 2011 with the 103 option...
BTW, I was dead set on a RoadKing Classic until I got the showroom and saw the Road Glide Custom in Sedona Orange... the three on the floor had the Powerpak (ABS, 103, Alarm) and Cruise Control. So negotiate on a '11
Dealer offered me a 2010 96" Street Glide with custom paint and offered to throw in a 103" upgrade, OR I can purchase a new 2011 RoadKing with factory 103" engine, either one for 20 grand. I've only owned an 04 RK with a 95" kit and not sure which way to move on this deal. Looking for any and all opinions please.
Thanks in advance.
What did you decide? With four pages now on this post...you're definately committed to buy. BTW One-Up has some good points to consider....I'd take the SG w/ the 103" kit (if it has cruise, security and ABS) if you're asking my opinion.
I REALLY appreciate everyone's reponse. I finally pulled the trigger and got the SG. It's a Two-tone White Ice Pearl / Black Ice Pearl and came with ABS, Cruise, Alarm, a 103" build with 255 cams, and.... they pulled of the 2010's 2-1 exhaust and gave me SE duals. All this for $20K with a 7 year HD warranty. Part of me still wants my old RK back cause that's the bike I know and love, but this new StreetGlide, well she feels like the new mistress. Only time will tell.
Again, thanks for all your help and input.
Sounds like you got what you wanted! Fairing, tunes, all the goodies and 7 year warranty to boot! Sounds like a awesome deal to me. Good luck on the new ride- some pics would be appreciated. Would like to see that 2 tone paint
