Default One issue

I bought my 2010 Electra Glide Limited with 4k miles and I feel that the transmission shifting is too rough. My friends 2009 SG is just perfect. I changed the oil to 75w140 Red Line as recommend by a dealer and it made it better, but not as good as other late model big twin bikes I have ridden.

The dealer tells me there is nothing wrong. I have 7k miles on it since November and love the thing. I just have a constant smile on my ugly mug going down the road all the time. Get yours.

The one thing all 2010 and newer H-D touring bikes have is the dreaded catalytic converter in the head pipe. So, if exhaust sound and performance are important to you, plan on spending $1500-2000 to have true dual exhaust pipes, a good set of slip-on mufflers, Stage 1 and a Screamin' Eagle Race Tuner. If stock exhaust sound and performance are good to you - great, you just avoided spending 2K.

My 2010 Street Glide runs fine. Don't be concerned about quality - it's there!!

My $0.02

Default I like my 2010

I have changed my pipes to get rid of the header and added true duals.

If I was looking to make a purchase now, I would compare the price of the 96 to the 103 and then make a decision from that comparison. The other thing I really like about the classic, is that root beer color.

I bought a '10 King and have put about 5k on it since November. The only problem has been not enough time to ride it as much as I'd like.

I eliminated the cat with true duals. Added a stage 1 and an oil cooler. Runs very nicely.

I had the problem. I got it replaced with SE. No issues since.

2010 RK 34,000 mostly issue free miles.
Yep, the stock compensator sucks! After mine blew out at 6,000 miles, went with the SE version.

'dibinbc' has it right. Do a search on here about when the 07's came out. If you would have listened to all the complaints about the so called sound, heat, and a ton of other issues, not only would you have never bought one but would have been trying to get rid of it asap if you had. Turned out the only thing wrong with an 07 was it was the first year for a six speed and the paranoia set in that Harley built a piece of crap. 37,000 miles later mine is still a joy to ride. Once I added a race tuner and air filter it ran as cool as any other bike I've owned. The IDS fixed the noise issue. Been a great bike on a lot of long trips with no problems.

I had a chance to get a great deal on a 2010 FLTRX but when I saw the 2011 103 up-grade that changed my mind. You can't go wrong with a 103. That's just my 2 cents.

There is an issue with the gas tank mount. If you hit a solid object above 40MPH it might come loose. Duh!
