Default Any issues with the 2010's?

Considering a left over Road King. Were there any issues with the 2010's? I recall reading about heat issues with the TC 96's at one point. Has that pretty much been resolved?

Anything else?

Thanks.

A lot of us are hypochondriacs when it comes to our bikes, if we 'hear' of a possible issue that someone somewhere might our might not have had, we think our bikes has it too and the world is coming to an end. The '10s are as rock solid as any other model year. The biggest issue you will find is that there is simply not enough time to do all the riding you will want to do on that machine.

All the 96s and 103s run a little hot, compared to the 88s. It's been discussed to death on this forum and other Harley forums. It's partly because of the increased displacement, and restrictive exhaust system, but mostly it's because of the very lean condition the bikes are set to run in order to meet emissions requirements.

Set it up with a good stage I upgrade and you'll be very happy. It'll run cooler, sound better and be quicker. Nothing at all to worry about with the '10 model year.

That's what I went with and have only put a few hundred miles on it and it's in storage for the winter. I enjoyed the few hundred miles I put on it and of course, it's problem free.

The only problem I've had is not having enough time to ride. 6K trouble free miles since June.

+1. The screen on my stereo went out and they replaced it quick no charge on warranty. You can't go wrong with 2010, especially if the price is right! No worries pull the trigger.

There have been a few issues with the stock compensator not being strong enough to handle the job. Doesn't seem to be really widespread, but if you got the issue it needs to be replaced with a Screaming Eagle.

I had the problem. I got it replaced with SE. No issues since.

2010 RK 34,000 mostly issue free miles.

10K+ miles over the last 5 months ~ zero problems. I'm not real easy on it either.

I bought a new 2010 in April and, at that time, all the talk was about how hot the 96s run. So, I had the dealer install an oil cooler ... just outta paranoia. I rode it during the summer when the temp was 95-100 and even had some short stints being stuck in slow rush hour traffic, but no problems at all. I have about 7,000 miles on it now and I'm thinking about a Stage I upgrade just to get a little more pep out if it, but I'm not concerned about the oil temp at this point.

Like others have said only problem it not having enough time to ride. Wait till you feel the new frame! Find some twisties and hang on.
