I'm 30 and I bought my RG (and first Harley) spring of this year. I love it and will keep it forever but I'd still love to own a Street Bob or Night Train one day as well.
My first harley was a sportster and that lasted for less then a year, bought my Electra Glide at 29, just turned 30 and will never be with out a bagger!!
32 and my '07 Street Glide is my first Harley and my first bagger, I guess I skipped ahead to the good part . I have owned over 30 bikes most jap with a little bit of italian tossed in too(and a Buell ). I can appreciate each type of bike for it's intended purpose and each manufacturers strong and weak points but so far I really love my Street Glide. I am a motor officer and I have been riding HD Road Kings for a few years and finally decided to get a Harley of my own. Street Glide all the way. I love riding it. I have a 175RWHP Kawi ZX10R and a true hooligan bike with my Husqvarna Supermoto but the 'Glide has been getting all of my attention lately. The ZX and the Husky have their place but for now that place is a lonely spot in the garage behind the Harley.
35 when I bought my first Harley, '07 StreetGlide.
I purchased one because at this point in my career I could actually afford it and I think that it is the best looking bagger without being a fully-dressed bike. I have nothing against the fully dressed HDs and will likely own one in a few years or so but for now the SG has everything I'm looking for in styling, comfort, and functionality.
I am 35 and made the switch to a touring bike , best move I ever made ! Always had softails and thought the ride was o.k. but like the old-timers say once you ride one you will never go back . I heard the same things from my riding buddies does not bother me at all, in fact one of them is getting a street glide now. On a side note the street glide is harley's best selling bike.
Hey Ive been in these shoes. Ive been riding a bagger since I was 27 years old. My buddies all on the softails, and customs and me on the 2-wheel caddilac. Funny how suddenly my bike is o.k. when it comes time to carry their crap around. lol. I ride what I WANT. not what THEY want me to ride.
