I have been searching for awhile at my options for a solo seat with backrest. I may be getting ahead of my self since I havent bought the Street Glide yet but want to order a seat first thing.
I need to be postioned lower and dont want to be pushed back. I dont really want to be pushed forward either but a little wouldnt be a problem.
2 choices I am looking at so far
I have a C@C seat now (fastback) and like it so I looked at the C@C solo. It sits you lower but dont see if it sits you back or not.
Corbin solo. The upfront says its 2 inchs closer but is that 2 inchs closer than there regular seat or 2 inchs closeer than stock.
I have the Danny Gray Speed Cradle Solo on my 09 Classic. It puts me lower and doesn't move me back or foward.I'm very happy with it,I'm 5'5" and flat footin.
I just ordered a Danny Gray Speed Cradle solo this week.
Here is a review I found on it. This may help ya.
Danny Gray Speed Cradle Solo Harley Seat Review
Our Rating: User Rating: So, you like to go fast on your Harley? Who doesnt, right? Now you can enjoy a seat specially designed to help fulfill your need for speed. The Danny Gray Speed Cradle Solo Harley Seat is designed by guys who like to throttle it up a bit themselves, so they know how to make a seat that offers speed merchants the stability and control that allows you to ride with confidence. This is optimized with a forward seating position that allows the rider to assume a lower, out of the wind, profile. The elevated nose helps you hold your position comfortably in all riding conditions, while accelerating and braking.
That covers performance. The Danny Gray Speed Cradle Solo Harley Seat is also built for comfort, packing high-density polyurethane foam firm enough to keep its shape and flexible enough to keep you in the seat as long as you want to ride. The seats cover is rich leather, hand chosen for flaw-free beauty and durability. It can take the sun, heat, and some moisture, and hold its good looks for years.
Vinyl side bands flex with the weight and motion of the rider, so less stress is exerted on the leather. This seat contours nicely to each ride it fits, including pre-06 Softtails, all Dynas, and the FLHR. Its a great ride for any Harley fan, but build to especially accommodate riders under 5 8, Harley gals included!
