hi all -i just drove the bike home-i love it ,those bars i was worried about ,well they fit me perfect -230 ish 6ft 1-now i just have to change th oil -i live in the desert and i know everybody has their personal preferance on brand and weight but could somebody reccomend a good syn oil and filter for the hot climate-the bike sat for quite a while and i dont like the look of the oil .im thinking also of installing the ultra cool oil cooler with fan .can anybody give me some feedback on the ultra cool -im a little worried about the motor on it as it will be on alot in this climate ....thanks alll ...mike

 

I have always used Harley syn oil and fliter. Never had a problem. I have 34,000 miles on my 04 Custom. Congrats on your purchase!!

 

I have always ran Harley's Syn3 in mine. Never have had a problem and it gets hot hot hotter than hell.......here.

 

I use Mobile 1 V-twin and HD 5 micron filter; but to be honest I think any synthetic will be ok as long as you change the oil and filter regularly.
