Those wheels give us something to laugh at on bike nights.
What makes me laugh is going to shows and seeing stock bikes that harley made look like Honda Goldwings. If you wanted a stock looking Harley that looks like a Goldwing you should have saved some money and just went to a Honda dealer.
Some of you have so many heated crap and accessories like coffee cup holders on your bike I'm surprised nobody has been shocked or killed while screwing with that crap.
I would rather see a custom bagger than see the same old stock bike om stock wheels hundreds of times on here, but thats MY OPINION.
I just dont get it either. Why would someone want to take a brand new bike and turn it into a custom? Maybe so it doesnt get lost in a sea of black street glides? Maybe is a form of self expression?
Why do people put lift kits on trucks?
Why do people put air bags on trucks?
Why do people put stacks on trucks?
Why do people put 24"+ wheels on Caddilacs Escalades?
Why do people superchargers on cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles etc etc
I will tell you why........... Becasue its their motorcycle and their passion to make their bike one of a kind thats why. Do you people have any idea of how big the aftermarket world is for cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats etc etc. Its endless!
Why do I have a custom bagger with a crazy stereo, big wheel, 120r and a procharger? Well the answer is wanted something different, oh and I have a small *****
Your bike is sick ........hands down one kick *** custom bagger......I dig it.........Oh and I roll on a 21" front wheel
Why does Harley Davidson sell you a Street Glide for $20K but yet hand you a HD catalog where you can spend upwards of another $25K for parts on you new bike?
Because they can LOL!!!!
Why does HD have CVO models??? So you can see what a bad *** stock HD can look like and to make you want to spend all your hard earned money on more parts!
While I don't believe in ragging someone else's bike, 21" and bigger front wheels on any bike aren't for me.
They do look cool on baggers, but like bikes you see in shows, aren't as functional in the real world. I'm more into function over form.
I rode exactly one bike with a 21" front tire and could feel it starting to slide on the first corner I took. My own bike at the time had a 19" front tire. Both were Sportsters. I could really feel the difference.
A 21" tire doesn't have the footprint of a 16" or even a 19". My current bike has a 16" front and rear and really hooks up in the corners.
So, you guys with the 21" fronts have some cool looking bikes. But I'll be leaving you in the corners.
Don't get me started on apes...

a few comments there slick -
1. a sportster is a different bike all together. without suspension changes to accommodate the bigger wheel, the geometry will be off, and the bike will handle poorly.
2. check your 'facts' on the footprint comparison. you are incorrect.
3. i am 6'1" and have apes for comfort and looks.
4. stop being a fcking hater old man. 'them young whippersnappers and their stupid big wheels bikes, loud stereos, and big motors'....... how were the 1920s dude? cuz you sound like a whiny old fart
16" diameter. 16" wide and you'd have a tire wider than the rear tire on a Dodge Viper. I knew what you were saying though. Just a friendly yank on your chain.
****Edit*****
The joke is on me....I didn't read it correctly. You said 16" WIRE wheels. Makes perfect sense. That's what I get for being a smartass I guess. Oh well, if you can't laugh at yourself right?.....
