My Husband and I have a toybox to travel/camp and ride with. We bought two of the strapless tie downs and ABSOLUTELY endorse them. You will not scratch your bike.... you bike will stay in place...and you will not find any rub marks or broken ties. We've been using ours for about two years now..... zero problems. Easy to install, easy to load bike. We wanted to make sure the bikes were going to be safe, and that there was no way for the bikes to fall over and blow out the sides of a 70k RV.
Where u coming from and where u headed..., I PCSED from VA to WA and left WA to NC...25 years in now. Dont plan on PCSing again..., bugt trying to land an assignment in Yuma AZ for the last move. Good luck be safe brother
Congrats on your retirement and after serving for 26 yrs in the Canadian Airforce all I can say is time to enjoy the rest of "your" life!! As for the hold downs, they look solid but personally the only thing I believe should be strapless are bra's and bikini's.....
Ok, before we start. No flaming me because I want to trailer my bike. I am active duty military and have to move 6000 miles away. I cant drive a truck, pull a trailer full of household goods, and ride a motorcycle all at the same time.
I have just purchased the roberts strapless motorcycle tie down system. I was wondering if there are any reviews. I was not comfortable using just straps or a wheel chock as the ALCAN highway is a horribly bumpy and rough ride.
Has anyone used this? Any reviews? I didnt find anything in the search so I figured I would ask. I still plan to strap the bike down even though I have this device. Well, we will see once it comes and I install it.
Thank you for your service and safe move. I have not had experience with this type of strapless trailering. I am familiar with this type of hold down system. Most guys I have talked to love them with the exception of having to mount the parts on the frame and leaving it on the frame. But overall they are very positive on how they hold a bike to the trailer floor. I have used only the BAXLEY TRAILERS which you can almost run without straps, but I put two low and that is all.
