My 2009 Heritage had almost 12k miles on it when I traded it in on the RGU.
The Heritage was smooth as butter when idling I could look in my mirrors and see everything crystal clear. At 75 the bike had a hard buzz, like a thousand angry bees. At 75 my mirrors vibrated so hard they were total useless
The RGU is almost the exact opposite. At idle it has a hard, slow vibration, but at 75 it feels like I am riding on ball bearings!
The first time I rode a touring bike, I shut it down about 30 seconds after starting the engine. I was afraid something was broke!
Seriously, you don't know that the Heritage is a solid mounted engine? It's bolted solidly to the frame.
Seriously my 04 FLHT is my first HD and i also had no idea about engine mounting of other models....

I don't understand your being so touchy. I didn't give you the short answer, "one is rubber mounted and one isn't." I explained in detail, and even gave info on the characteristics of both. I was surprised you didn't know the main difference between Dynas and Tourers, versus Softtails. I always research things before I buy them. I figure most people would be curious to know why Harley makes so many models and what the differences are before buying one. I wasn't smarting off at you, I was just surprised that you didn't know about that very fundamental difference.

You're still doing it and it looks like I'm not the only one that noticed it and not the only that didn't realize the difference on a bike they have no knowledge of.

I've had this one for a matter of months. I had zero interest in anything but a touring, that's what I studied up on.
I was surprised too, but I generally do major research before buying anything of this nature.
I've followed this thread closely because I'm interested in any significant vibration differences between the Softtail and Touring bike at speed.
I'm trying to decide between a Deluxe and Road King. Previous bike were Goldwing (pretty smooth) and Nomad (didn't notice significant vibration).
I'll be renting one of each before the final decision, but was curious of others opinions, especially with older, higher mileage bikes i.e will the Softtail vibration steadily get worst with age.
